REACT does not replace the ICU systems already in use. It establishes a controlled research pathway across them: from source signals to FHIR resources, governed analysis and clinician-facing outputs.

REACT / FHIR-native pathway

Context travels with the signal.

REACT brings structured measurements and clinical notes together in traceable FHIR resources for explainable decision support. Key infrastructure, extraction methods and dashboards are planned for open-source release. Exchange with the Medical Informatics Initiative (MII) and Network University Medicine (NUM) supports future reuse across hospitals.

ICU systems

Monitoring, ventilation, laboratory, medication and clinical documentation streams.

FHIR layer

Validated observations, medications, procedures and notes with explicit provenance.

Governance

Conformance checks, auditability, access control and policy-aligned system engineering.

CDSS outputs

Clinician-facing evidence for antimicrobial stewardship and hemodynamic trajectories.
